About Amber

Graphic Designer • Disability Advocate • Apple Loyalist • Backstreet Boys Fan • Pet Mom

I’m a freelance designer and founder of Beautifully Different, a name that reflects both my work and my life. I graduated as valedictorian in high school and earned a BFA from UW-Stout with a focus on design, marketing, and entrepreneurship. With over 25 years of experience, I use art and design to make the world a more beautiful, inclusive place.

I’m also passionate about advocacy and was honored to be crowned Ms. Wheelchair Wisconsin in 2013, winning the national Nikki Ard Award for public service. I’ve met with politicians and spoken out on disability rights using my iPad as my voice.

Outside of work, I’m a devoted pet mom to Fancy and Ajax, a travel lover (when funds allow), loyal Apple user, and a die-hard Backstreet Boys fan—I’ve been to 13 concerts and even met them twice! I have been to a variety of other concerts as well from Adele to Keith Urban to Queen (with Adam Lambert). Music, animals, and Apple products are a few of my favorite things.
